In winter, some saunas keep a hole in the ice open. Then you can swim even when the lake is frozen. Try Isbjörnarnas Bastuförening in Bromma, Varma Bastu in Vendelsö or the old sauna by Sandasjön in Nacka. At Hellasgården you can swim in Källtorpssjön lake all year.
In the city centre, The Sacred Sauna and Sturebadet have cold pools inside. Read more in our guide to winter swimming and sauna.
The cheapest is Sätrabastun (Skärholmen): from 40 kr per person. Then Flatenbastun (50 kr) and Skärgårdsstiftelsens bastu, Ostholmen (Möja) (50 kr). Prices are from each sauna’s own website.
The lowest price for the whole sauna is 205 kr, at Ösbysjöns bastu. Half of the 39 saunas with a price cost 1,090 kr or less. The price is for your whole group, not per person.
