Summary

Who is responsible

The person or company responsible for your data on this website (the “controller”) is: Niklas Schaffelke.

Email: contact@saunastockholm.com

What happens when you visit the site

When you open a page, your browser sends some technical data, for example your IP address, the type of browser and the page you open. This goes to these companies:

CompanyWhyWhere
CloudflareHosts the website and protects it from attacks.USA and EU. Cloudflare is part of the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Cloudflare’s privacy policy
GoogleThe sauna photos come from Google Maps. Your browser loads them from Google’s servers.USA. Google is part of the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Google Privacy Policy
OpenStreetMap FoundationThe map pictures come from OpenStreetMap’s servers.United Kingdom (the EU has approved the UK’s data protection). OpenStreetMap’s privacy policy

We use this data only to show you the website, the photos and the maps, and to keep the site safe. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a working and safe website (GDPR article 6.1 f).

We do not keep visitor logs ourselves. We only count how many photos are loaded each day, as one number, to control our costs. This number does not say anything about you.

Your location (“Near me”)

If you choose “Near me”, your browser asks if the site may use your location. If you say yes, your position is used only on your own device to sort the saunas by distance. It is never sent to us.

Cookies and storage on your device

We do not set any cookies for visitors.

When you tap the heart on a sauna, we save the list of your saved saunas in your browser (this is called “local storage”). It stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can remove it by tapping the heart again, or by clearing the site data in your browser.

Because this only happens when you ask for it, Swedish law (lagen om elektronisk kommunikation, chapter 9, section 28) does not require us to ask for consent. That is why there is no cookie banner.

Links to other websites

If you open a sauna’s website, “Get directions” (Google Maps) or a photographer’s profile, you leave our site. Their own privacy rules then apply.

If you email us

We use your email address and your message only to answer you. We delete the email when it is no longer needed, at the latest after 12 months.

Your rights

You have the right to ask what data we have about you, and to ask us to correct or delete it. You can also object to how we use it. Email us and we will answer within one month.

If you think we handle your data in the wrong way, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY): imy.se.

Changes

If we change how we handle data, for example if we add statistics, we will update this page first.
