How sauna clubs work

A sauna club (in Swedish: bastuförening) is a group of members who run a sauna together. Members pay a fee each year or month and help with the work. There are 11 sauna clubs on this site.

You do not always need to be a member. Tanto Bastu and Sätrabastun open for everyone at some times. Isbjörnarnas Bastuförening in Bromma is open for everyone three days a week. At STHLM Sauna Vinterviken you can book a guest place.

Outside the city there are clubs by the sea, for example Nicksta Bastuförening in Nynäshamn. Saltsjöbadens Friluftsbad has two old bath houses, from 1913 and 1925.
